For generations human beeings worked the woods, carefully and helped by horses. In our effective, modern times, the horse is mostly replaced by monstrous size forest machines, working a hundred times faster, leaving nothing behind.

The film follow two brothers, working the forest in modern times, the old way, the horses still their best workmate. A beautiful film full of wistfulness, setting the traditional monocultural and modern keeping up against oneanother.

The film won a price the eumenic price in Oberhausen International festival, Germany, 1992, the docmentary price in Clairmont Ferand, France.1992 and the Terje Vigen price in Grimstad, Norway, 1993.
